2022

For À l’Échelle, Marc Oosterhoff gathers 7 circus artists acrobates to imagine an artistic walk that uses the architecture of the site in an new way. The group invites the public to follow them on a 40-minute stroll.

This collective creation is punctuated by different tableaux, highlighting the specific features of the venue through the prowess of different contemporary circus disciplines. The artists generously and mischievously share their view of the building.

Along the way, they put on a series of different performances, offering views from near and far, from inside and outside, playing with balance and poetry, lightness and surprise.

The show was originally conceived for the Plateforme 10 museum centre in Lausanne, to mark the inauguration of the arts district, but has already been adapted for a number of different venues, including the renovated Kaserne Basel as part of the Theaterfestival Basel, and the Tuileries Fribourg & Lausanne SA brickworks in Crissier for the first edition of Hyper Ouest, as part of the La première brique concept.
